Individual Therapy
Individual therapy between helps you understand yourself better, treat underlying mental ailments, and support building the life you want to live. You are asked to fill out paperwork including some assessments like the Adverse Childhood Experiences questionnaire (ACE), Generalized Anxiety Disorder scale (GAD-7), Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9), and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Checklist (PCL-5). The GAD-7, PHQ-9, PCL-5 and other measurements may be utilized periodically in treatment to assess effectiveness. Session frequency depends on your needs, is determined in the first or second session collaboratively while creating a formal treatment plan you will be provided, and most choose to be seen weekly or biweekly to start. On average, 15-20 sessions lead to measurable improvements. Once improvements are noticed, treatment frequency usually wanes (e.g., biweekly to monthly). Some schedule when they can, and others decide to terminate altogether when they’re feeling better or want to use another provider (I am more than willing to help you do this if you’d like.). You are an individual, and you get to decide your healthcare trajectory while I am a guide who supports you along the way. You can be in any PSYPACT state when receiving services. If you are on holiday or a work trip beyond the PSYPACT jurisdiction, please let me know before we meet so I can check the laws in that jurisdiction as we may or may not be able to meet.
$225 per 50 minute session. Additional fees may apply if a translator is needed.
